Here is a hill near my home that I often climb at night.

The noise of the city is far-off murmur.

I share the cheer- fulness of crickets and confidence of owls.

But it is the drama of the moon rise that I come to see.

For that restores in me a quiet and clarity that the city spends too freely.

From this hill I have watched many moons rise.Each one has its own mood.

There have been broad,confident harvest moons in autumn;

The sun had set,and I was watching what seemed to be the bright-orange glow of a forest fire

beyond a ridge to the east.

Suddenly,the ridge itself,seemed to burst into flame.

grotesquely mis- shapen by the dust and sweat of the summer atmosphere,

Dogs at nearby farmhouses barked nervously,

as if this strange light had a wakened evil spirits in the weeds.

But as the moon lifted off the ridge it gathered firmness and authority.

Its complexion changed from red,to orange,to gold,to impressive yellow.

It seemed to draw light out of the darkening earth,

for as it rose, the hills and valleys below grew dimmer.

By the time the moon stood clear of the horizon,

the valleys were deep shadows in the landscape.

The dogs,reassured that this was the familiar moon, stopped barking.

And all at once I felt a confidence and joy close to laughter.

In my opinion, the following part is of much more importance than the choice. There is no absolute right or wrong choice but wonderful or boring life, which the process makes the difference.

The process is not the road itself but the attitudes and feelings ,the caution, courage and persistence we have as we encounter new experience and unexpected obstacles.
NO matter what the choice is, enjoy the process. In the process, your
potential will be inspired and new discoveries, improvement and progress will come to you. These are the most beautiful sceneries and only on the way can you see it. These make your life colorful.

don’t have are reasonable and meaningful, such as father’s day and april fool’s day etc. on the other hand,the prevalence of globalization enables western culture to prevail in china. overwhelmed by such a trend,chinese unconsiciously get involved in western holidays and culture.
with the further development of the whole world, the cultural
communication between different countries and nations becomes faster and more and more important. we are indeed from different nations, but we are the citizens of the same world, so the outstanding culture of different nations is the commom wealth of everyone on the earth.the only way for us to protect our traditional culture is to reject the foreign culture? the

星期二，我演讲了。题目是《不懂得什么叫做放弃》。
伴随着一阵热烈的掌声，我怀着激动而又紧张的心情走上了讲台，开始了激昂的演讲。一开始心中不免有些紧张，后来我的心才渐渐恢复平静。在这样一个特定的时刻站在这三尺讲台上，就是有一种不同寻常的感觉。我看着台下那一张张熟悉的脸，再看看平日里只有老师上课站的讲台而今天是属于我的舞台，心中就充满了喜悦。虽然只有那么短暂的三分钟，但足以让我的心得到满足。
为了这个演讲，我不知倾注了多少心血。一个星期以前，我就已经选好了题材，并且把内容背得滚瓜烂熟，为的就是这个课前三分钟。因为我知道“一份耕耘，一份收获”，所以我这一次很成功。现在想起当天的情景，心里还是会沾沾自喜。
说实话，我很重视课前的三分钟演讲。我觉得课前三分钟可以帮我们积累知识和写作素材。因为平日里我们肯定不会太注重阅读，就算是读了也印象不深刻，但是课前三分钟可以做到两全其美，既可以听故事，又可以用聆听的方式去积累知识，并且加深印象。
由这个课前三分钟，我不禁想起了人生。一个人的一生是短暂的，所以我们就要珍惜时间。不是有一位大师说过吗，“我们无法延伸生命的长度，但我们可以拓展生命的宽度。”这句名言对于我们这些年少的学生来说，是非常有启发的，我们不可以奢望能活多久，但我们至少可以做到在有限的生命中做许多有意义的事。
课前三分钟，人生三分钟。是啊，三分钟固然短暂，但许多个三分钟加起来就是一个人的生命。人的一生中有多少个三分钟可以浪费呢?

埃森·豪威尔小时候受了一次伤，很小，小到可以忽视。于是他挺着，没告诉任何人，没想到三天后，伤势急剧加重，无法行走，医生说要截肢，否则有性命之忧。他不肯，还挺着。全家人都陪着他，他的伤最终好转。文章赞美他的坚忍。说就是因为他能“挺住困难”，所以才能有之后的成功。
可是我不这么认为，固然一定有他出众的坚强，一定百折不挠，但这个故事不能作为例子。
首先，有了小伤理当尽快处理，而不是所谓的“挺住”，扁鹊言，“疾在腠理”，不治的话，必将深入“骨髓”，可埃森·豪威尔却不管不顾，任由伤情在恶化却仍隐瞒，且仍不处理。视自己身体如无物。这种“挺住”有意义吗?人们常说“预防胜于治疗”。如果他能及时地告诉家人，或及时地处理伤口，又怎么会有后来医生要求的“截肢保命”?
终于，他连走路都不能了。他的家人才终于知道这件事，也请来医生处理。医生说要截肢，他死活不肯，还逼母亲发誓：不能趁他昏迷时截肢。我就奇怪了，两害相权取其轻啊!舍一腿而保一命有什么不好?虽然最终病情好转，但那是一个奇迹，几率很低，不是每个人都能遇到的。如果每个有类似选择的人都像他一样，能活下来的又有几人呢?
另外，就是因为他所谓的“挺住”，几天时间，所有家人都在他的身边，提心吊胆。他一个人，让所有家人为他不眠不休。为他着急!这样的“挺住”岂不是太自私了吗?
文章的标题是“挺住困难”。挺住困难是在陷入困境时守住自已的一份希望，从困境中走出，可这个故事能算作挺住困难吗?开始本来没什么事，最多算做“困境”边缘吧!他的“挺住”是在朝困境深处走去，越陷越深。在“困境沼泽”中偶尔有几块略微坚硬且高的石头，他碰巧踩了上去，离开了“困境沼泽”。这难道能说是他找准了方向走出去的吗?这也能算是“挺住困难”吗?
当人们处在绝望边缘时，守住自己的那一份信念不放弃，挺住自己正遭受着的磨难，直至看到耀眼的成功之光，这才是挺住困难!

这个星期我中彩了，英语和语文的演讲居然双双降临。对于星期一的英语演讲，内心十分的紧张，也许是对自己没信心吧!但是，该来的总会来。
“叮铃铃~~”上课铃已经响起，随着Miss Deng的一句“Class Begins”，伴着同学们的掌声中，我忐忑地走向讲台，开始了我生平第二次的英语演讲：“Every one wants to have a happiness in your life……”但是因为过于紧张手心不停地冒汗，教室里因为安静地聆听显得我的声音有点涩涩的，下边60双眼睛的注视，感觉自己似乎置身于万众瞩目的荧光灯下……不知是怯场还是锻炼太少，导致我失去了一次展现自我的好机会，虽说流利，但没有达到自己的理想境界。
面对星期一的英语演讲的“失败”，只能够用语文演讲来弥补了。所以，在星期一上体育课就先选好了题材，并背了两段，星期三的早上，自己老早地来到了学校，向后桌的彭茜背了一遍，我问她：“怎么样?能凑合吧?”她说：“还可以。”我不知道“还可以”是什么程度，因为我想达到完美或最好，只好自己一个人在那默默地读，虽然对稿子很熟，但心中还是惴惴不安，心里总是在想到底要用怎样的表情面对呢，语调到底多高才是最佳状态呢。此时此刻，只想对自己说：“加油!加油!加油!”并且给予了自己一个甜美的微笑。
语文课如期而至。开始演讲了，当我讲到爱因斯坦说过的话，却把这个说反了，当时心中就有些不安，从那句之后就有几分紧张。但是我认为还是比上次好，也比英语演讲有进步。这次的语文演讲，我懂得了，要想获得成功，就必须得有一种强烈的创新和开拓意识，要从别人的未知领域中涉足，这样才会在人生道路留下闪光的足迹”。
虽然只有短暂的三分钟，却让我学到了许许多多，人生的哲理，如何快速地记忆演讲材料，如何让自己站在台上更自然更大方……站在离自己梦想最近的地方，就会有一种突破性。在演讲中收获了知识，收获了道理，还收获了经验，受话最多的则是一种挑战的快乐。
短暂的三分钟，紧张的三分钟，让人铭记的三分钟。今后，我会更加努力对待它!
